The Bioeconomy Innovation Day brings together key innovators, policy makers, researchers and funding agencies to explore the importance of the bioeconomy in driving resource efficiency, resilience and value creation across Europe. The goal will be to explore how the bioeconomy can drive the green transition and offer new insights into pioneering circular biobased innovations. In addition to presentations from the research, policy and industry sectors, various companies that are helping to enable a sustainable economy will be showcased, such as Heppe Medical Chitosan GmbH. HMC is using chitin which is a waste material in the food industry to produce its high quality chitosans and chitosan derivatives.
