News from Venice - day 1

The 9th EUCHIS is in full swing. After a friendly reception in one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Venice - participants already had the chance to listen to presentations in different fields of research. First posters are already replaced by the second session.

This year a large number of participants from many different countries followed the call of the European Chitin Society and came to Venice, to listen to presentations or give one.

 
After a  cordial welcome greeting of Franco Rustichelli, 31 presentations were given. Reserch findings were presented, but also claims were expressed. Claims are to agree about  standards  and measuring methods, that help to  simplify the application of chitosan and will make it saver.

Lisbeth Illum, Kjell Varum, Sevda Senel, Martin Peter oder Katja Heppe are only some of the presentators who already gave their lecture.

We look forward to listen to the other talks and wait for further news at the EUCHIS 2009 in Venice.
