A Biotechnology company is awarded with the “Best Early Stage Company” Award of the New Jersey Technology Councils (NJTC) and leaves other companies from life sciences, information technology, energy/environmental management, telecommunications and nanotechnology behind.

The annual NJTC Venture Conference is the largest of its kind on the American East Coast. Young companies from various technological sectors present themselves and their products to potential investors. Among 65 participating companies the “Best Early Stage Company” is chosen.

On March 26 Endomedix Inc. was awarded this prize. According to Aron Spencer, CEO InVenture LLCthe jury was convinced by the product portfolio, the business plan and “the combination of its experienced management, technology and business opportunity”.

The Endomedix strategy – a young New Jersey company – is simple: Improve products that surgeons use in daily business and ease their use in combination with lower costs.

The most important product of their portfolio is a chitosan based hemostatic spray, which soon should become an integral part of operating rooms or ambulances. The device sprays on the surgical site and forms a hydrogel in seconds, leading to the rapid formation of a mechanical clot. The product is transparent so the surgeon can see through it to confirm that the bleeding has stopped. It saves time and useless loss of blood.
